ISO: a new printer!

Well, it looks like our 6-year old printer is on its last legs, so that means it's time for a new one.

I want to get rid of our old scanner as well, so I think a 2-in-1 would be the best best. I don't think I care about color, although that's nice to have. An automatic feeder for scanning/copying would be ideal too.

Any recs? What kind of printer do you have? Do you like it?

I think the all-in-one printers come in handy - I have a printer/scanner/copier (HP psc 1215, that's an old one, there are newer models out now).

Thanks for the rec- I ended up buying a 4-in-1 that was on sale this week. Good deal!

I've always had really good luck with Epsons. You can get them at Sam's for less than $100 and sometimes less than $75 for a 3-in-1 and that will allow you to print on a cd. Plus they work well with Macs. I have 2 Epsons at home right now - an oversized and a 3-in-1. Both work like a charm.

And I bought one! A 4-in-1, and rather shiny.

It depends on what you want and what you do with it. If you just want a basic printer with cheap ink ($1 per cartidge) then get a Canon IP 1500 on ebay. Make sure to find one that is new, not used. I really only buy that model because of the cheap ink.

I came across your journal, was wondering if you would want to become friends?
