I hope everyone had a fun New's Year Eve celebration - ours was quite subdued. M didn't make it past 9, and the rest of us spent the evening engaging in various forms of geeky media. There was tequila and margaritas, and from me, a whole lot of coughing. Sims, Young Indiana Jones, and West Wing were just some of the entertainment for the night. None of us made it until midnight - yes, we're a lively bunch.

Overall, 2007 was a pretty good year. Home life was pretty good, work was pretty good, girls are pretty good. I got to do quite a bit of traveling - Houston, Toronto, Orlando. I earned my green belt, something I'm really proud of doing. The day-to-day drama of living didn't really take away from a generally positive year.

I have a lot of things to look forward to in 2008. Several more times traveling, the Portus site visit in February, a family vacation to WDW in April, and then Portus itself in July. But for the first few days of the year, I'm going to relax around the house, play some more Sims, go visit herebedragons, and just enjoy the rest of my winter break.
