Comic Con

Comic Con was both enjoyable and overstimulating. So many people, it boggles the mind and drains away all energy. The second best part of the day was connecting with old friends over breakfast and meeting some new ones after panels. The first best part was sharing the experience with K, who joined me for her first convention.

We managed two panels today - the HP panel and the closing Buffy Once More With Feeling showing. We decided to skip the Phineas and Ferb panel and the Indy Fan movie showing despite initial plans to go, since moving from place to place was a challenge. The Vendor Room was completely overwhelming and very difficult to navigate just for the sheer number of people in there. It felt like doing battle to move from one booth to another, and the only spoils of war that were won was a tshirt for M. We failed in procuring a Dr. Who tee for K, but we're armed with a website in which to find her one.

Being with so many fans is always stimulating, but I much prefer events where we're not packed in like sardines into every inch of space.
