Ringtone Psychology

I've been having some fun playing with customized ringtones for my iPhone the past week. I've made 6 of them so far and have been assigning them to various folks. Here's what I have assigned:

1. Ministry of Magic's "The Hero" for anyone from Portus or HPEF

2. "You can't stop the beat" from Hairspray for K, because we love to sing that song together over and over again.

3. "Without Love" from Hairspray for M, since she just loves that song as well

4. Galatian Dance for my mom, brother and father just to make them easy to identify

5. Green Day's "Basket Case" for J, self-explainatory

And I bought bought the Dr. Horrible album and made a ringtone from the "Bad Horse Chorus" and I'm trying to decide who to give that to.

So, in the interest of furthering the study of Ringtone Psychology, I have two questions for you:

1. What ringtone do you think I should have for you?

2. What ringtone would you have for me?

Night
Really stuffy nose. Headache. Sleepless night. *checks pollen count and stocks up on kleenex*

Last week flew by, this week has been super-duper slow. It should be at least Thursday, damnit! I haven't slept very well all this week, I just haven't been comfortable in my bed.

Despite the high pollen count, the weather has been absolutely beautiful. Blue skies, warm sun, nice breezes to bring that pollen closer to my poor noise. Hopefully that weather will last through the weekend so we can enjoy it while watching the girls' softball games.

I have been feeling lots of apathy towards HP in general, although that feeling has been dissipated by watching the latest version of the OOP trailer. That's my favorite of the books, and I'm thrilled with what we've seen so far. I'm still in denial about DH, but the movie, I'm ready for now.

J tried karate class last week and decided to sign up for 3 months. So far, we've just had the two classes together, and he seems to be really enjoying himself. He bought himself a white belt handbook (something M and I didn't know existed until we were orange belts. I'm excited to have something for us to do together, but we shall see if we're mature enough to keep any disagreements at home the next time they happen. Heh, at least we can always spar together.

And, some super-cool space news. Potentially habitable planet found.

It was hot, hot, hot yesterday. Over 90 degrees, no June gloom in sight. A/C on for the first time this year, but it cooled off early enough to not justify having it on all night. So we opened the windows and blinds to let the air in.

The bad thing about all this? THE SUN WAKING ME UP AT 5:45 AM ON A FREAKING SATURDAY MORNING.

And damn, the laundry pile has grown to nearly 2 feet over the top of the hamper. *avoids like whoah, I still have stuff to wear*

Notebooks
One of those days where I feel like I'm being pulled every which way. Work, kids, community, fandom obligations, sleep, housework, you name it. I could use a cloning machine right about now. The LA times had an article this morning about women's natural affinity for multitasking, how it's coded into the female's brain to juggle multiple items at once, far better than men can.

So, because I really have other things I should be working on right now, I give you...
